Other Trips
We have a variety of other trips that we run in cooler weather, primarily in the Fall and Spring. Please let us know if one of these trips interests your group! We have a minimum trip requirement of 6 guests before these trips will go. We are happy to schedule one of these trips for your group!
Back Bay NWR
The Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge is at the southern end of Virginia Beach, with sometimes only 1,000 feet of sand seperating Back Bay from the Atlantic Ocean, this trip offers a unique paddling experience where we often get to see both brackish waters and a fresh water Cypress swamp.
Eastern Shore
A wonderful trip for the explorer in all of us. We launch from a remote primitive site with no bathroom. We paddle through the Salt Marsh behind the Barrier Islands where we will hear Rails, see Egrets and Herons, as well as a variety of Peeps. We often stop on a deserted island to collect shells.
Lake Drummond/Dismal Swamp NWR
Lake Drummond, which is situated in the middle of The Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, is a unique eastern coastal swamp with a jungle like atmosphere and native bird and wildlife population. It is one of only two natural lakes in Virginia and over 20 feet above sea level.
